yeah. $13.00 extra and you'll get the CD mail to you. I think it will only 1 time install for the CD.

must add, you must have a student email account from your school. That's where microsoft will send the link to download windows 7 to. Cannot use your personal email.

i have a 4yr old laptop... i like XP

should i do the upgrade right off the bat?

guess i could have them send me a cd and use the upgrade in the future?

yeah but you are paying $30.00 plus $13.00 for the CD. You have to pay $43.00 if you want the CD. Cant just buy the CD only. If you gonna do it, do it now and do it with online download and CD.

you are actually eligable to get a discounted version of Home or Pro. Im not sure if Pro is more expensive or not

Home and Pro are totally different. There's a lot of other features available on the Pro from the Home. I don't know if it's still work today since it was only a preorder. I've tried it earlier and it said that it could not be done. Maybe too many people are doing it at the time. You only get the Home. Pro is $200.00 right now on Amazon. I was able to preorder it at BestBuy for $100.00.
