i definitely remember randy bass when he played with the padres before he went over to japan. he struck out a lot but could hit it a mile. for years i played on world class local teams with a guy by the same name (in 1985 we actually won asa class B championship although i didn't actually go to the world champion tourney but was on the qualifier team).
