    Arrow Hate Crimes

    It is Written:
"and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake"

We will soon begin to see more and more of this happening in the United States and in the World. It is coming upon us like a flood. This is just the beginning...

Secretary threatened after daughter mentions Jesus
'I don't know what I am supposed to have done wrong'

A school secretary whose daughter mentioned Jesus to a classmate now is facing discipline, including the possibility of dismissal from her position, for having sent an e-mail to friends from her home computer asking for prayer about the issue.

The case is developing, according to a report in the London Daily Mail, for Jennie Cain, a receptionist at Landscore Primary School in Crediton, Devon.

Her daughter, Jasmine, age 5, attends the school and recently was scolded by a teacher for talking about God and her faith, the report said. She was in tears after the discipline, the paper said.

Cain, who has worked at the school part-time since 2006, said after her work shift was completed – as a parent – she went to talk with teacher Sharon Gottelier about the situation. She then was summoned to the office of Principal Gary Read the next morning, where she was told "how he wasn't happy about her making statements about her faith," Cain told the paper.

After meeting with Read, Cain went home and e-mailed a prayer request about the situation to some friends at her church, and soon she was notified of the pending discipline for her statements in the e-mail.

"I felt embarrassed that a private prayer e-mail was read by the school – it felt like someone had gone through my personal prayer diary," she told the paper. "I feel my beliefs are so central to who I am, are such a part of my children's life.

"I do feel our beliefs haven't been respected and I don't feel I have been treated fairly. I don't know what I am supposed to have done wrong,' she said. She reported she doesn't know how the school got a copy of her e-mail.

Christian Institute spokesman Mike Judge said children should be allowed to discuss religion without interference from teachers, the report said.

Cain said she now is being investigated for professional misconduct, and Read has confirmed the school's board of governors is involved.

It is the second incident of Christians being disciplined or threatened by employers in the U.K. over issues of prayer in just the last few weeks.

It was just days ago WND reported a Christian nurse in Britain had been threatened with dismissal for offering to pray for her patients' recovery.

A report from the Christian Legal Centre said the nurse, Caroline Petrie, later was restored to her position.

As WND reported, Petrie was suspended and faced further discipline because her employer claimed she failed to show a "personal and professional commitment to equality and diversity" when she suggested the prayer.

It will soon get worse if the current administration gets their way in our Government.

    Is anybody paying attention..??

    Wake Up America..!!!

Pastor awaits prison for saying 'Jesus loves you'
Court convicts man for peaceful protest outside abortion clinic

For holding up a poster that reads, "Jesus loves you and your baby. Let us help you," outside an Oakland abortion clinic, a pastor in California now awaits a judge's sentencing that could send him to prison for harassment.

In May of 2008, Rev. Walter B. Hoye II of the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church of Berkeley, Calif., filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court, arguing that an Oakland city ordinance banning counselors or protesters from approaching within eight feet of people entering an abortion clinic is a violation of constitutional free speech rights.

Twelve days later, Hoye was arrested for allegedly violating the law he was seeking to overturn.

Hoye was charged with "unlawful approach" and "harassment."

In court, however, evidence showed that as Hoye stood outside the clinic with his "Jesus loves you" poster, rather than approaching or harassing women seeking to enter the facility, Hoye was hounded by clinic employees in orange jackets called "escorts." The escorts followed Hoye's quiet march along the sidewalk with large blank cards to block the view of his "Jesus loves you" poster.

Court proceedings further discredited clinic employee testimony when hidden camera footage showed their accusations to be highly suspect. The escorts in the case even admitted that Hoye neither threatened nor physically intimidated them.

Dana Cody, executive director of Life Legal Defense Foundation, a non-profit organization composed of attorneys and other concerned citizens committed to the sanctity of human life, told WND that the video tape evidence should have clearly exonerated Hoye of the charges against him.

"I sat in the courtroom when the videotape was shown," Cody told WND. "And pastor Hoye wasn't blocking; he was being blocked. He wasn't harassing, he was being harassed."

Nonetheless, Hoye was found guilty and on Thursday could be sentenced with up to 2 years in prison and a $4,000 fine.

"This is a miscarriage of justice and we will appeal this verdict," said Allison Aranda, an LLDF staff attorney who is representing Hoye. "After speaking with several jurors after the verdict was read, it is clear that the court's failure and outright refusal to instruct the jury regarding the key elements of the crime led to the erroneous conviction of Rev. Hoye."

Witnesses in the trial claimed Hoy harassed and threatened patients, the escorts and even the clinic director.

According to an LLDF statement, clinic director Jackie Barbic testified that she saw Hoye hounding patients and went out to the street to confront him. With a tape measure, Barbic claimed, she demonstrated the distance of the 8-foot barrier, only be physically intimidated by Hoye until she was compelled to defend herself, shouting, "Stay away from me! Back down! Back away!"

Unbeknownst to witnesses and the district attorney, however, an associate of Rev. Hoye had been videotaping him from across the street on both the days on which the pastor was accused of violating the law.

A sample clip of Hoye carrying his sign and being shadowed by the clinic's escorts can be seen below:

    BORKED

Cody told WND that the video is an accurate representation of Hoye's demeanor, and that while some abortion protesters may scream and threaten, Hoye is not a man to use intimidation or "harassment."

"I have never met a man whose character and demeanor is so perfect for him to stand out in front of these clinics," Cody said. "He is the consummate gentleman. He's not intimidating at all. In fact, on the record there's witness testimony that part of the reason they're afraid of him is that he is so 'nice.'

"The man, he will tell you, 'I am an ambassador for Christ,'" Cody said.

On cross-examination, the court watched the video of two confrontations between Barbic and Hoye on the days in question. According to the LLDF, the video includes the tape measure and Barbic approaching Hoye. The video also showed, however, that the pastor calmly walked away from Barbic and showed no evidence of her fending him off and screaming.

Barbic then testified that the surprise videos must have been taken earlier in the day and that the intimidating confrontation happened later. Hoye's attorneys dismiss the testimony as bogus.

The jury nonetheless convicted Hoye of "unlawful approach."

"We think his conviction," Cody told WND, "was a failure of the judge to give instructions to the jury on what 'approach' meant."

The LLDF now intends to appeal Hoye's case as well as resume his original lawsuit – put on hold during Hoye's trial – within the next few months.

Cody told WND that Hoye filed the original lawsuit because the wording of city's ordinance prohibits even street counseling, a law that goes beyond protecting people from harassment to the point of censoring free speech.

"We live in America," Cody said. "The fact that this can happen because someone has the audacity to stand out on the street and try to help women is just unbelievable to me."

You don't have to go to the UK to find this going on Top...look in your own backyard. This is starting to happen all over the US too, and you don't have to look that far to find it. It's sad when you get discriminated against what you believe, and I think that is going on right here ^.

I do have one question though and I'd love somebody to give a shot at it. If everybody's right, then who's wrong, and if everybody's wrong, then who's right? Even Isaac Newton said for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, and we have found that even matter has an equal and opposite form called antimatter. So that leads me to believe that there is somebody that is right and somebody that is wrong. So how can we believe as a society that everybody is right? Or is there something I'm missing here?

Great video Top, you hit the nail on the head.

    Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Nowhere does it say that what you say has to be liked by those who hear it. As I said in another post, everybody has an opinion, and this gives you the right to voice that opinion no matter what. You can't be arrested for what you say, and any law in violation of this ^ is an illegal law and must be repealed.

I agree with Kage. Also, every story has 3 versions... 1 side of the story, the other side, and the actual truth. You can't believe everything you read, especially if it comes from a biased source. I'm not saying the source you are using isn't credible, because from what I've read some of the editors or whatever went to and graduated from Harvard.

About the pastor and the abortion clinic, there are laws that prohibit picketing and such unless it is a certain distance from the area being protested against and I believe it has to be off the clinic's property, since in fact the clinic can has the right to determine who can and cannot be on their property if need be, just as we can keep people off our own land. Also, where is the rest of the story? What evidence was given? Who knows whether or not the pastor had harassed patients entering or leaving the clinic or if the pastor had protested before or done other things? I mean if the clinic filed harrassment charges I would guess that it wasnt caused because of one incident...

I do not think it is unconstitutional to restrict or prevent protestors from being a certain distance away from the property or whatever it is being protested. Of course i support Freedom of Speech, but we also have rights to have private property or keep people off of it. Ill give a an example to support why i dont think this is unconstitutional:
A few years ago someone from my town who had recently joined the army was killed while on a routine mission or whatever you would like to call it in Iraq, he was in a humvee and they hit a mine. Well at that time there was a group going around to the funerals of fallen soldiers protesting and picketing right infront of the funeral home and such becuase they believed the war was wrong and whoever faught in it should be damned for doing so or whatever... anyway the point is that there is a line that has to be drawn.

People have different beliefs.. that is the way it is.. people have the right to express those opinions.. people have the right to protest.. laws should be in place to prevent protesting from getting out of hand

You didn't watch the last video, the 28 minute long one, where the cop said it was legal for them to be on the street and then proceeded to arrest them in effect for being there. The people were being cooperative and everything.
