Its not a big deal, but it just caught my eyes here...

At the bottom of the forums it says how many people have been online at one time and in one day. well here is what I saw..


Most users ever online was 74, 10-09-2008 at 05:17 PM.
and then below this was...
The most members online in one day was 66, 10-02-2008.


Now my thoughts towards this is would the most users online in one day be that 74? (if you guys understand what i'm talking about, haha)

This is just for shits and giggles. I have alot of time on my hands right now :P

i think users is refering to members and guests. members is just subscribers

Yes.

Users = registered + guests
Members = Just registered members

Keep in mind though not all of those 74 users on that day may be just registered forum members, or ACTUAL guests. Google crawlers (bots) may also appear under 'guests'. So it's possible it could have been a lot of bots that crawled the site on that day.

Search bots and such shoot that number up. Ive also noticed people with certain internet security suites also bring along sometimes 20 guests when they log in because the program is tryin to search through the whole website for possible dangers

Wow, what a waste of bandwidth traffic.

Not really considering most people have highspeed internet and wont even notice it. It doesnt affect the website or harm our bandwith. If it helps keep some people safe from viruses then I have no problem with it being used. I dont care to much for the main antivirus suite that ive noticed do it on the forums... trendmicro... but i guess if it others like it then its none of my business
